Senegal 2012

Salah malekum! Nanga def mangi fi ana wa kerga ñokubuk jerejef?

Three years ago.  If you had asked me where I would be in three years, I probably would not have said Africa... but guess what- Luke and I leave for Africa on Sunday!

We will be spending two months this summer serving the Wolof people, a people group located in the 10/40 window and considered unreached by the Gospel (Joshua Project Info: http://joshuaproject.net/people-profile.php?peo3=15414&rog3=SG).  We have big goals and expect big things from our sovereign Lord.

Would you commit to pray for us?

We will be spending two months in Dakar, Senegal found in western Africa working with the missionaries, native believers, and Muslim seekers.  Our goals are to continue building relationships with those whom our church has been sharing the Gospel with and start Bible study and discipleship groups with those who are truly seeking.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth."
Acts 1:8

Honestly, this task seems daunting, nigh impossible.  If it was just us going, we would probably have a good time, but utterly fail.  Pray that our true source of power would be the Holy Spirit who changes the hearts of sinners.

Luke in the Hood
"Thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else's foundation, but as it is written, "Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand." Romans 15:20-21
